Transceiver SFP awujud modul kanthi kinerja dhuwur lan hemat biaya sing ndhukung kecepatan data 1.25Gbps lan jarak transmisi 10KM nganggo SMF.
Transceiver iki kasusun saka telung bagean: pemancar laser FP, fotodioda PIN sing terintegrasi karo preamplifier trans-impedance (TIA) lan unit kontrol MCU. Kabeh modul nyukupi syarat keamanan laser kelas I.
